About Colombia

Snapshot of Colombia's 2026 squad and outlook.

Colombia arrive at World Cup 2026 carrying genuine momentum - 2024 Copa América finalists, Copa América top scorers, and runners-up despite facing Argentina's eventual champions. Under Néstor Lorenzo, Los Cafeteros play exciting, attacking football driven by the brilliant James Rodríguez, who at 34 may be making his final World Cup appearance, and the electric Liverpool winger Luis Díaz. Group K against Portugal, Uzbekistan, and DR Congo gives Colombia a real opportunity to progress from the group, though the clash with Portugal will be pivotal. James Rodríguez's Golden Boot-winning display at Brazil 2014 remains one of that tournament's lasting images, and he will be eager for one last curtain call.
